These girls are unbelievably beautiful and very, no strike that, extraordinarily cooperative for the ages of 2 and 3.

Sunday was filled with several shoots. On this particular one I discovered my new favorite location ;) and fell head over heals for these two little pixies. Miss C and Miss L thank you. I can't wait to get through the rest of these images to see what magic unfolds.

Playing catch up right now on edits, but just had to post a few images from a session I did with twin newborn girls. These two little ladies just made me melt. They are both so adorable and so unique from one another in looks an personality. I can't wait to get through the rest of the images, but these stood out from the bunch.

I adore these three little ones for more than one reason, but the one that is most obvious to me as I edit through these images is without a doubt, like no other children I have photographed, these three beautiful kids make me think outside of my creative box.

Conformity is not their thing when we work together, and I love that about them. It's incredible how they all look so much alike, but how different their personalities are. Their happy, beautiful, well behaved and spirited little people who I am so grateful to know. Thank you J, K and M for welcoming me into your Saturday morning, for taking me on another little adventure. Can't wait to play again soon.

Little Lady :: Annapolis baby photographer

This sweet little baby was such a joy for me to photograph at her 1-year session. She has many adorable expressions and enjoys holding her interest on leaves, flowers and grass. Big brother H even let me take a few pictures of him though I think he enjoyed laughing at me more than smiling for me :) Both sweet little ones with a wonderful mama. They reminded me of just how blessed I am to be doing what I do.

This sweet little Miss ... what can I say? She's just brilliant. Miss P and her parents were in for a quick weekend trip to Annapolis. I was able to catch her darling little smile and a few more expressions that my camera fell in love with. Miss P was resilient through the session as we began with a little tumble and a bump on the head. She rose to the occasion and look at all these beautiful images she gave me.

Putting the word out

In the past few weeks, I have been caught up in a bit of a personal career crisis.... My life as a photographer is ideal. I am right where so many professionals dream of being with a strong client base, a flexible schedule and income.

All of which is the product of lots of hard work, many nights up well past midnight, 1 a.m., 2 a.m, and up to rise early with my babes. Or getting four hours of work done during the baby's two hour nap. And even sitting down for 15 minutes during snack time, a moment when my little ones stop bouncing, buzzing, moving, to knock out a couple edits, blog a clients preview or put together a print order.

I love what I do!

So why change? I guess it has something to do with career progression, the dream, the goal. At the end of the day, besides wanting my children to grow into healthy, well-balanced, kind human beings, I still dream HUGE. I guess that's the hopeless artist in me shining though. Life is far too short to not be fired up about what I do on a daily basis.

What I'm saying is that even though I am totally in love and incredibly passionate about what I do right now, there's still so much more I want to achieve. So in order to keep up with my own demands, I am working on a few changes. First and foremost is my blog. I have two blogs right now and as many of you have noticed, the blog has taken a back seat, not as many posts, less photos, less writing when I do post. Juggling two blogs is more work than necessary, so I'll be combining my work and personal blogs and revamping the look and content a bit.

The other major thing I am focusing my energy on is commercial photography work. I have been working with a very talented artist, jewelry designer Laura Moore. Hope to share some of her work with you today. Laura has opened my eyes to how amazing it is to work with other small business owners. Seriously awesome stuff.

So as my readers, I'm reaching out to you, putting the word out, to see if you know of any small business owners, artists, musicians etc, who may be interested in my services. I am looking to photograph just about anything or anyone!

As for my my beloved clients, YES! I am still in business and getting busier with fall around the corner. So, I will be posting a few promotions within the next day or so for returning faces and for fresh, new faces. Keep your eyes out for that.

Sweet baby C

Look at that love... this little boy and his parents were such a dream to work with. Baby C kept it cool and his mom and dad were so relaxed. He felt right at home in a basket, even a football helmet, but just melted to butter when in his mama's arms. So very precious.

It's been a while

Like... ahem, six months!? I've been busy, with work and my little ones. Enjoying many adventures each day. The time has come though to start blogging again. I thought a good start would be where I left off. Baby O... he's six months now!

When I arrived at baby O's house, he took one look at me and grinned, as if to say, "I know what you're here for lady and I plan to make your heart melt all over again." And boy did he ever. Just look at these, the first three pictures in the lineup for edits, one two, three. Before editing any more I decided it was necessary to post a preview for mom and dad. Mom's out of town this week for work and I hope this will bring a little piece of love from home to her.

Thank you mom and dad for inviting me back into your home for yet another spectacular session. I knew he was beautiful when we first met, now he has charm and that smile and those eyes, my oh my those eyes... I can't wait until O turns 1!

The coldest morning yet, and I had a session scheduled. An outdoor session at that. These three were such troopers though and really gave me some amazing images from our time at the barn. Mom did a fantastic job coordinating them, absolutely adore the classic look.

Downtown with tractors

Had a great session with this family. It was the calm before the storm for me. We've had family and friends in town for our daughter's baptism, a very joyous, but very exhausting weekend. Finally catching up on some work and much needed time with my little ones.

Little Miss 'L' adored her big green petticoat. I enjoyed it quite a bit myself. I know mom's been very patient with me, waiting for this preview. Hope it was worth the wait! And I hope to get your gallery up within the next couple days.

Egg shakers, jingle bells and the magic wand

I pulled all my tricks with these little ones, who have two of the most magnificent smiles I've ever seen... I know where they get it from, look how stunning their mamma is.

Miss A taught me a little something about being a fairy. I told her I grew up as a mermaid, so she taught me how to run through a field like the fairies do. My little subjects have lots to teach me about loosening up and enjoying the moment. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon.

I photographed this little one when she was just a newborn. How lovely she has grown into a little lady this past year. The second image is just amazing, subject, backdrop and all. It works in both black and white and color..... I can't decide which is more dramatic.

It's weekends like these that confirm my passion for photography. I had 3 fantastic sessions this week with three incredible families. Would love to journal more but I'm up to my eyeballs in work and have got to get to bed before too late.

These two love bugs were all smiles, all giggles and we even had a mouth full of grass at one point. Big brother 'B' is one of my son's buddies so he went pretty easy on me.

Had the great privilege of photographing this little buttercup. Miss 'J' was so sweet and so very chatty for a two-year-old. These two images just stood out from the rest for me. Hello friends. It's taken a while for me to get my promotions lined up. This promotion is to celebrate the fresh new face that has joined our little family. I'm looking for a few new faces to add to my site. What I expect from you is not much different than that of a regular session and details will be provided to you when we set a time and date. Each session will require a model release form to be signed before the date of the scheduled session.

So what's in it for you right? The open call is on a first come first serve basis only. You pay no sitting fee and I give you one 11"x14" print for your services. Hiatus

I just wanted to post a little blurb to apologize for the lack of posts. I have been on hiatus and not shooting as much since my pregnancy has progressed beautifully into the third tri-mester. My very round, big baby belly has prohibited me from photographing children my way which, for those of you who do not know, is lying on my belly. I have been working feverishly on my marketing and YES! a new and very cool web site. I cannot wait for it to launch and to hear what all of you think of it.

I hope to deliver our little girl within the next couple of weeks. Between now and then, check back here for a few promotional campaigns I will be running for my wonderful clients after I get off of maternity leave. The first and most exciting being a "New Faces" open call for models. I am also tweaking the final details on an all new referral program, which I know will have many of you very excited come this fall. And the third will be a fabulous fall discount promotion.

It's been so long since my last post and I apologize. Life gets busy around the holidays and then you spend a month just trying to catch up!

I was so fortunate to photograph this little doll the other day. How sweet and precious Miss 'M' is. She adores her mama, but I find she looks a lot like her dad. Big brother is still a little unsure, but I think he just wants her to play trains with him. Can't wait to take a few more photos of this little sweetie and big brother 'B' once the weather warms up a bit.

I have been fortunate to photograph some truly beautiful little babies this past week for some spectacular parents. This one was no exception. Through the wind and the rain sweet little 'C' was a trooper and held out so that we could get a few pictures of her with mom and dad. I had to post these color images because her eyes just blew me away. The light caught to beautifully in them and just brought out the deepest blue. I love cloudy days for that.

This family is so near and dear to my heart. They bring so much joy to so many people, including my family, that it was my pleasure to be able to photograph them once again. I did belly shots for mom and birth announcement photos when the baby was just a few weeks old. This little guy is already 6-months old! And is getting bigger and more charming by the minute. These two were such a pleasure to photograph. Big brother has an artistic eye and gave great suggestions on what areas of the farm we should go to take pictures. He'll make a great director some day. Sweet baby 'J' just turned a month old when I photographed him and his family this past weekend. He was such a trooper as we positioned him here and placed him there when all he wanted to do was cuddle in his mama and daddy's arms. That's okay baby 'J' I still feel that way all the time. This little man is totally in love with his parents. I am so privileged to have been given the opportunity to captured that love for them.
